Inspired by the vibrancy of Vivid and the elegance of the Met Gala, Rebel Playground imagined and brought to life a wildly artistic pinnacle recognition gala event and party in a unique rainforest location in Port Douglas, Queensland.

The rainforest setting amongst an uplit canopy provided a spectacular backdrop to build moments of living art through visual styling and dynamic performances. The result was a dazzling, light-filled festival scene that took guests by surprise and subsequently on a sensory journey. There were endless vibrant vantages from which to grab group selfies, shrouded in coloured light, surrounded by forest, under the starlit sky.

Working with the experienced team from Atilier Sisu we created a luminous reflective spherical playground both around the grounds and inside the tent, creating a dreamy wonderland across the event space. Rebel Playground was tasked with doubling the site's capacity and rose to the challenge by erecting a custom marquee structure so the entire guestlist could dance the night away together.

Kooky sculptural tablescapes, reflecting the avant-garde exterior styling, greeted guests as they entered the marquee for dinner. The party kicked up a notch when powerhouse vocalist Emma Donovan took the stage and reached fever pitch with a high-energy band performance by Furnace and the Fundamentals. Such a unique tropical rainforest setting, so artistically styled, allowed guests to fully immerse themselves in celebrating a job well done at an event they'd never forget.
